Methods of Giving

Northwood Fund

Make Your Gift to the Northwood Fund today. Giving supports Northwood’s highest priorities, providing 29% of the funding to educate every student, allowing our school to meet core commitments, pursue new initiatives, and be responsive in ways that improve the quality of life across campus.

Capital Project

Securities or Stock Transfer

Gifts of securities either held by your bank or brokerage or held by you can offer significant tax advantages for alumni, parents, and friends and are easy to make.

Please ask your representative to utilize The Depository Trust Company (DTC) when transmitting a gift of stock or securities to LPL Financial.

Planned Giving or Estate Gifts

Whether giving in gratitude for your Northwood days or to create an enduring legacy, you will ensure that the Northwood experience continues. Please consider joining The Northwood Planned Giving Society which honors and recognizes individuals who provide for Northwood through bequests, trusts, retirement fund gifts, life insurance, real estate, and other planned gifts. There is no minimum required to join. No gift is too small… or too large!

Bequests, Wills, & Trusts: Family responsibilities come first in estate planning. But the process can give you a valuable opportunity to consider how you might leave the world a better place. No matter your level of wealth, you can leave a charitable legacy at Northwood. Bequests work particularly well for those who are unable to make an immediate outright gift, but would like to aid Northwood in the future. Northwood can include testamentary commitments in our capital and endowment campaigns. Making Northwood aware of your bequest is an important step and helps us ensure that your bequest lives on in the manner that you intend

Life Insurance: You may reach a point in your life where life insurance no longer has the financial significance for your family that it once did. Gifting a life insurance policy or naming Northwood as a beneficiary may be a way for you to give back in a lasting way.
